Welcome to New Staff

We are pleased to welcome two new members of staff at Fivelands, both of whom are experienced and special veterinary interests.

Kate Ballard BVM&S, MANZCVS Medicine of Cats, MRCVS

Kate qualified as a vet in 2002, and since completed further qualifications in Feline Medicine (MANZCVS Medicine of Cats is the officially recognised post graduate qualification of the the International Society of Feline Medicine). She is experienced in many areas of small animal surgery and medicine, including laparoscopy/endoscopy, a wide range of surgical procedures, as well as medical procedures, such as ECGs, chemotherapy, imaging, and managing more complex medical cases, especially with cats.

Kate will be working part-time, primarily based at our Moseley surgery, which has been awarded the International Society of Feline Medicine, Cat Friendly Silver Award. Find out more about Feline Medicine at Fivelands.

In her spare time Kate enjoys horse riding, and cake baking/decorating. We haven’t tried her cakes yet but if they taste as good as they look from the photos we have seen, they will be amazing!
